Get answers to common questions about Bikini Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks depending on hair growth rate. Regular appointments can lead to finer regrowth and longer intervals. Individual results vary; technicians advise scheduling every four to six weeks for consistent maintenance.
Some mild, brief discomfort is normal, especially on first treatments. Our technicians use pre-wax soothing, precise technique, and calming post-wax care to minimize pain. Breaths, numbing creams if appropriate, and experienced hands make the process quick and manageable.
Exfoliate gently a few days before and ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long. Avoid heavy creams, sunburn, or recent tanning. Arrive clean and avoid alcohol or caffeine, which can increase sensitivity. Our team will guide any additional prep needs.
Minor redness, tenderness, and occasional ingrown hairs are common but temporary. We use sterile techniques and post-wax soothing to reduce irritation. Inform us of allergies, medications, or skin conditions to adapt treatment and help prevent complications.
Avoid swimming in pools or the ocean for 24–48 hours after waxing to reduce irritation and infection risk. Chlorine and saltwater can aggravate freshly waxed skin. Before waxing, skip swimming if you have recent sunburn or open cuts.
Gently exfoliate regularly, use warm compresses, and apply a mild antiseptic or topical treatment recommended by your technician. Avoid picking or shaving. If ingrowns persist or become infected, book an appointment so we can provide professional care or medical referral.
