Waxing removes hair from the root, so results usually last three to six weeks depending on hair growth, hormonal factors and body area. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and lead to finer hair over time. Individual results may vary.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on sensitive areas, but our trained therapists use soothing techniques, fast removal and effective numbing products if needed. Preparing skin, avoiding caffeine and taking a mild painkiller can also help reduce sensitivity before treatment.
Exfoliate gently two days before to remove dead skin, avoid moisturizers on the day, and ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long for effective grip. Inform us about medications or skin conditions so we can adjust products and technique accordingly.
Waxing can sometimes lead to ingrown hairs when new growth curls under the skin. Prevent by exfoliating regularly, using gentle serums, avoiding tight clothing immediately after, and scheduling consistent waxing sessions. If persistent, we offer treatments to clear and soothe affected areas.
For sensitive skin we recommend cream or gentle honey waxes because they adhere without excessive pulling and include soothing ingredients. Our therapists perform a patch test and select a wax suited to your skin, minimizing irritation and redness.
Hair should ideally be around a quarter to half an inch long so wax can grip properly. If too short waxing may be less effective; if too long, trimming slightly before the appointment improves comfort and results.
