Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Face Polish.

Many sensitive skins can tolerate a gentle Face Polish when performed with mild, non-abrasive products and expert technique. We perform a consultation and patch test, adjust pressure and ingredients, and recommend frequency to prevent irritation while still delivering exfoliation benefits.

Frequency depends on skin type and concerns. Generally every 4–6 weeks maintains smoothness and texture; sensitive or inflamed skin may need longer intervals. Your therapist will recommend a schedule and at-home care to prolong results and avoid over-exfoliation.

Mild redness or warmth may appear immediately after treatment but usually subsides within a few hours to a day. Deeper polishes may cause longer sensitivity. We'll advise cooling care, sun protection, and gentle products to speed recovery and protect newly exposed skin.

Yes—when performed appropriately, exfoliation clears dead cells and reduces pore congestion, helping prevent breakouts. We use non-comedogenic, antibacterial products and avoid inflamed lesions. For active acne, we'll combine treatments and a tailored home routine to manage oil production and reduce recurrence.

Many gentle polishes are safe, but certain acids and retinoids should be avoided. Inform your therapist if pregnant or nursing; we'll choose pregnancy-safe ingredients and techniques. When in doubt, we consult your healthcare provider and prioritize non-chemical, mechanical exfoliation options.

Use gentle, hydrating cleansers and moisturizers, avoid active acids, retinoids or abrasive scrubs for several days. Apply broad-spectrum SPF daily, keep skin hydrated, and follow any product recommendations from your therapist to protect and prolong polish results.
